Yes. You can make payments online through the Randall County Justice of the Peace Court Payment Portal.

All documents must be e-filed or filed in person or by mail with the court. Read Information for Filing Justice Court Civil Suits before filing a petition in Justice Court Pct. 1. Contact the court for information on filing a case. 

Justice Court Pct. 1 provides several forms on its homepage for cases that will be filed in the court in the Civil section on its website.

Once the defendant has been served the citation, they will have until the Monday ten days after the date of service to file a written answer with the court. If the defendant does not file an answer, the court clerk will set the case for a default hearing and give notice to the plaintiff. If the defendant answers denying the claim, the court clerk will set the case for a hearing and give notice of at least 45 days to all parties. 

A hearing can only be set by the plaintiff. Contact the court to set a hearing.

Possibly. Depending on the complexity of the matter, type of hearing, and the situation, the court will use its discretion to permit virtual hearings. Contact the court to see if you can schedule a virtual hearing.

Court staff will contact you after your hearing is set with instructions for the hearing, including how evidence is submitted and presented to the court.
