Contact the court for this information. There are four types of justice civil case types: small claims cases, debt claim cases, repair and remedy cases, and eviction cases.  

Read JP 1’s Standing Orders for Substituted or Alternative Service if it applies in your case.

Hearings must be set at least 30 days from the time the notice of hearing is mailed out. Contact the court for more information.

Yes. All hearings and trials are held on Zoom. Contact the court if you are not sure if your hearing is virtual.

In all civil cases (except for evictions), parties must send all evidence they plan on presenting to the Court and opposing party by email, fax, or mail no later than 14 days before the hearing. All documents over three pages and pictures must be submitted by mail only. Faxed or emailed copies of pictures will not be accepted by the Court.  

For eviction cases, all evidence must be sent by email, fax, or mail to the Court and opposing parties no later than 5 days before the hearing
