Houston Volunteer Lawyers Offers Free Legal Advice and Services to Low-Income Baytown Residents

Houston Volunteer Lawyers (HVL) is now serving low-income Baytown residents with free legal consultations. Qualifying individuals receive one-on-one legal advice and counsel by appointment over the phone and screening for continued legal representation.
Legal issues may include family law, consumer issues, wills & probate, property, tax, HIV/AIDS and veterans benefits, as well as other civil legal problems or questions.
Appointments take place Friday afternoons from 2:00-5:00 p.m. or every third Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to noon.Applications can be submitted online at www.MakeJusticeHappen.org or requested by

All applicants will be required to provide identification and proof of income. Certain exceptions to
residence and income requirements may apply to special groups such as veterans—visit the How to Get Help page at www.MakeJusticeHappen.org to learn more. A legal caseworker will notify each applicant if other documents are required. If an application is accepted, HVL will try to place the case with a volunteer attorney.
