Legal advice is provided in the following areas: divorce, child support, custody, consumer, contracts, criminal, wills, estate planning, guardianship, probate, housing, landlord/tenant, and bankruptcy.

Our program does not discriminate against any race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, age, physical ability or language spoken as our only requirement is that the applicant be a current or former service member of one of the branches of the United States military or a relative of a service member.

Applicants must be able to prove their identity, Texas residency, and eligible veteran status.

The Veterans Legal Assistance Program works to address the civil legal needs and uncertainties of low-income Veterans, Active or Reserve Duty Service Members, and their families. This may include receiving legal advice or other direct service in the following areas case types: divorce, child support, custody, consumer, contracts, criminal, wills, estate planning, guardianship, probate, housing, landlord/tenant, and bankruptcy.
