Tahirih Justice Center

Tahirih Justice Center’s holistic, client-centered legal services include screening, assessment, counsel and advice, and full-scale legal representation.

Tahirih serves survivors of gender-based violence who face incredible obstacles to justice, including language barriers, lack of resources, and a complex immigration system.

Tahirih clients receive culturally sensitive, trauma-informed legal representation from the start to the finish of a case. Many of its clients have obstacles to safety and stability that can’t be remedied in immigration courts alone. Tahirih meets these needs by offering holistic services—providing wraparound social services case management and representation in family court, where the organization is able.

Tahirih provides the following services:

The Tahirih Justice Center is available to offer support regardless of age, race, class, gender, immigration status, nationality, sexual orientation, or religion.
