Partner Overview
The Equal Justice Center (EJC) provides legal assistance to qualifying low-income individuals. Contact the EJC to get answers to your questions and discuss your rights in the workplace. The EJC will provide free and confidential screening, and a licensed attorney will review your matter. Their employment law representation helps workers who have not been paid at all for their work; workers who have not been paid the legal minimum wage, overtime wages, or prevailing wage rates; low-wage workers who have experienced workplace discrimination, including sexual harassment; and working people who have suffered retaliation for speaking up about their wages or working conditions.

The EJC has launched a program to provide legal services to survivors of sexual assault to recover compensation and gain security in the workplace. Additionally, the EJC works with other service providers in Texas to provide assistance to survivors of sexual assault and works to have employers adopt practices that prevent sexual assault in the workplace.
The EJC also focuses on providing legal services to guest workers that work in the U.S. through temporary visa programs, such as the H-2B, H-2A, and J-1 programs. Additionally, the EJC specializes in providing services to survivors of labor trafficking.
