David's Legacy Foundation
Partner Overview
David’s Legacy Foundation is a nonprofit dedicated to ending cyberbullying and other forms of bullying among children and teens through education, legislative advocacy, and legal action.
Legal action may be an option for bullying victims. The David's Legacy Foundation Don’t Bully Me Project connects victims with volunteer attorneys who can help when minors are involved in serious bullying incidents.
The Don’t Bully Me Project was created in honor of David Bartlett Molak. It helps families access legal support to stop bullying. David’s Legacy Foundation works with San Antonio Legal Services Association (SALSA) and other legal aid groups across Texas to offer this support by:
- Providing best-practice guidance on advocating for children at their schools to stop bullying,
- Educating parents and guardians of children who are being bullied about legal rights and possible remedies, and
- Offering needs-based pro-bono attorneys or private attorney referrals to take civil legal action to stop the bullying.
Free legal aid for victims of bullying is available Texas-wide for families at or below 300% of the Federal Poverty Line.
