We're all familiar with the criminal justice system from TV and the movies, but until you're involved in a lawsuit, chances are you don't realize how little you know about litigation and the civil justice system.
Justice 101 was designed as a tool for attorneys to educate clients who are new to the litigation process.
This resource is being made available to help you better understand the legal system in Texas. This 20-minute video explains the steps of the litigation process, from pleadings to trials to alternative dispute resolution. It also introduces important concepts such as the attorney-client privilege and the need for candor between lawyer and client.
