Note: In some counties you may need a court order before the clerk will issue citation by publication.  If needed, you may use the forms below to ask for a court order.  File the Motion for Citation by Publication form with the above Affidavit for Citation by Publication form in the district clerk’s office.  Ask the clerk when you can take your proposed Order on Motion for Citation by Publicationto the Judge.  If the Judge signs your Order on Motion for Citation by Publication, file it in the district clerk’s office and ask the clerk to issue citation by publication.
