The federal court system in Texas is made up of trial courts--district courts, bankruptcy courts, and immigration courts--and the Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, which hears appeals from the trial courts. Appeals from the Fifth Circuit are heard by the U.S. Supreme Court.
