Divorce in Texas without Children
The following forms may be used to file or respond to a divorce without* children in Texas. You may need one or more of these forms depending on your role in the case.
You may also need additional forms. For example, you will need additional forms if you and/or your spouse have valuable assets such as a retirement, pension or 401(k) account, land, house, or business. You will need additional forms if you need temporary orders regarding spousal support and/or use of property or payment of debts while the divorce is pending. You will need additional forms if you want to ask for spousal maintenance (spousal support that continues after the divorce is final.) A lawyer can help you draft any additional forms you may need.
Try to talk to a lawyer before you file anything. Talking with a lawyer now can save you time and money in the long run. You can hire a lawyer just to give you advice, review your forms, draft documents or help you prepare for a hearing.
