Asian Family Support Services of Austin (AFFSA), formerly known as SAHELI
Who We Are
Asian Family Support Services of Austin provides assistance to immigrant families dealing with domestic violence, sexual violence and trafficking. Although, AFSSA specifically addresses the cultural and language needs of Asian families affected by violence, its services are open to anyone who have problems accessing mainstream services.
You have the right to live an abuse-free life. AFSSA can provide you with information and support. Hotline advocates can talk with you about how to keep your family safe, inform you of your rights, and discuss options and resources in your area.
AFSSA advocates can meet in person, or provide services over the phone. As part of our legal advocacy program, we can accompany you to court or refer you to legal services. We also provide culturally sensitive counseling and conduct a therapeutic support group for mutual support and sharing. If you need additional assistance, we can help you look for and connect with other resources in the community.
To contact AFSSA, please call one of the hotline numbers listed. The advocate can talk with you about your options, provide safety planning, and if needed, set up an intake.
All services provided are confidential and free.
