  • Asserting Your Rights as a Crime Victim word

The Texas constitution and the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure give crime victims certain rights, but many crime victim rights are only granted if the victim asks for them. It is a good idea to make the request in writing so that the victim can prove the request was made. As soon as a victim finds out about the arrest, the victim should let the prosecutor's office know that the victim wants to assert his or her rights. Content Detail
